Film that I liked!

After a long time I saw a nice refreshing Bengali movie .. which is modern in all senses of the term. The main attraction of the movie is its bicolour nature. It was done purposefully as Ritu felt that "Besides, most of us don’t have the eye to see things in black and white..." The remarkable feet that this movie achieves by this new experiment is it becomes very soothing to the eyes .. and for a change ..

The characters worked excellently in this film .. and unlike other Ritu films like "Antarmahal" and "Chokher Bali" the script of this movie is much better written .. though there are a few loose dialogues and also unnecessary scenes but by and large this movie is good.

And most importantly it throws many open questions to the audiance.

Special mention to Kankona's acting .. very natural!

And last but not the least the very good use of the poem as a central theme of the movie .. this is also an innovative attempt to use a poem (recitation) as the "themesong" and the way it was picturised in three different times.

Cant forget the wonderful similie drawn by Ritu when he first shows Kankona (Kaberi) first watering the plants and that pouring water on her husband's head while helping him to bathe. That was a great picturisation of the "ice getting melted" .. and the wife slowly accpting the husband again in her life, forgiving her for all wrong that he did.

Parambrata has always been my favourite actor and he "acts" rather behaves very naturally infront of the camera. No wonder if this movie gets best cinematography, best actress and best theme.
